Purple Worm Records is an Independent record label established and based in the fine city of Kingston-Upon-Hull, UK. We work in partnership with Hull's number 1 college 'HCUK', Europe's leading music distributor 'Believe Digital' and the legendary US Funk/Soul label and Music Academy 'Stax' based in Memphis Tennessee. We coordinate the production, manufacture, distribution and promotion of a band/artist's music. We also provide work related learning opportunities, cultural exchanges and teaching programmes.
We have worked with many bands/artists including Street Parade (featured on the Official Hull City AFC Soundtrack), Fila Brazillia (CSI/Sex in the City Soundtrack), Spiders from Mars (David Bowie's legendary band), Uriah Heep, The Beautiful South & The Paddingtons. We have also worked with many production companies including the Hull & Yorkshire Region Music Conference, BBC Introducing, BBC Crimewatch UK, Helicopter Heroes and Liverpool Sound City. We will be celebrating our 5th Birthday this year, stay tuned for information on the upcoming celebrations and forthcoming releases including singles from Street Parade, Magic Carpet Factory and The Debutants.
